I am a brazilian artist, and this series stems largely from my experience with the coast. Frequent contact with the sea, it's colors, and light has become a natural presence in my gaze. I began painting these scenes almost spontaneouly, interested in simple compositions, boats, clearer waters, surfaces that reflection of the sky in the water also interests me. This mixture between what is above and what is below, creating subtle layers within the image. This Nautical Series is about observing closely. Rhythm, color, and small variations that change everything.
